VISION
Every child, youth, adolescent, and young adult has access to a healthy life.
MISSION
To promote the health and well being of children, youth, adolescents, and young adults
in Los Angeles County through collaboration with other public health programs, private
agencies and community-based organizations.
The Child and Adolescent Health Program (CAH) works to identify community organizations, businesses, and other health partners
to create a new adolescent health collaborative in Los Angeles County to address
health disparities which impact youth and their families. In February 2004, the Los
Angeles County-Department of Health Services, Child Abuse Prevention Program merged
with the Child and Adolescent Health unit. CAH continues to provide child abuse
prevention services and resources
to providers and families within Los Angeles
County.
