About the Office of Women's Health

The Office of Women's Health (OWH) was established in 1998 to protect, preserve, and advance the health of women in Los Angeles County by
  • Promoting health equity
  • Providing education and promoting resources, programs, and policies that are responsive to women, lesbian, bisexual, queer (LBQ) women and transgender, gender-nonconforming/nonbinary, intersex (TGI) people.

    Mission

    To improve health, health equity, well-being, and access to culturally responsive, comprehensive health services for women in Los Angeles County through county and community collaborations, education, and the promotion of evidence-based programs and policies
