The Nutrition and Physical Activity Program partnered with HUMANist, Inc. to assess the feasibility of implementing healthy food pantries in Los Angeles in the brief, Exploring the Feasibility of Implementing Healthy Food Pantries in Los Angeles County.pdf icon included key informant interviews with staff from five healthcare clinics that have implemented food insecurity screening, as well as an intercept survey with over 1,000 clinic patients. The brief provides detailed information about patients’ experience with food insecurity, perceptions of health care provider sensitivity to food insecurity, and lessons learned from agencies conducting food insecurity screening in low-income clinics.
