About Customer Service in Environmental Health

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, Environmental Health Division conducts routine inspections and complaint investigations at commercial businesses including restaurants, body art facilities, organized and children's camps, public swimming pools, solid waste facilities, and residential sites such as rental housing/apartment units throughout the County to protect the public's health.

Please note: The cities of Pasadena, Long Beach, or Vernon operate their own environmental health department and should be contacted if your business or inquiry is located within one of those cities.
