What is the Rapid and Ready Program?
The Rapid and Ready Program, provided by the Division of HIV and STD Programs, can provide navigation to HIV services for people newly testing positive for HIV or returning to care.
The goal is to link clients who test positive for HIV to an HIV treatment provider as soon as possible.
What type of assistance can I access through the Rapid and Ready Program?
The Rapid and Ready Program provides linkage to HIV providers who can prescribe HIV medications on the first visit.
Additional Services Include:
Assistance with transportation
Assistance with insurance and benefits screening
Assistance filling prescriptions
Accompanying clients to clinic visits
Who can receive the Rapid and Ready Program services?
The program is intended for anyone who tests positive for HIV in LA County and is interested in seeing an HIV provider. HIV testing sites,
community clinics, medical centers, and emergency departments can use this service to link a client to HIV care.
How can I access The Rapid and Ready Program?
To access the program, call toll-free 833-351-2298 or email rapid@ph.lacounty.gov, to connect with a member of the Rapid Navigation Team.
Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. Voicemails will be returned by 9 AM on the next business day.
