The Patient Protection and Affordable
Care Act, along with the Health Care and Reconciliation
Act, combine to create legislation that is commonly
referred to as the
“Affordable Care Act” (also Obamacare). The Affordable Care
Act features a wide number of changes and improvements
to many of the programs that make up the U.S. health
care system including Medicare, Medicaid (Medi-Cal), and
individual and group insurance.
