Don't breed mosquitoes
Mosquitoes lay their eggs in standing water and so drain all sources of standing water, such as in empty flower pots and swimming pool covers.

Apply Insect Repellent Containing DEET
Use insect repellent to avoid getting bit by mosquitoes, especially if you go outdoors during dusk and dawn when mosquitoes are most active.

Clothing Can Help Reduce Mosquito Bites
When possible, wear long-sleeves, long pants and socks when outdoors.
