Community Liaison Representative, SPA 4

Prior to joining the Department, Ms. Alexander worked 10 years in intermediate intensive care and another 10 years in home health. She has 11 years of Public Health experience with Los Angeles County, including 7 years as a district Public Health Nurse. She has spent the last 3 years as a Community Liaison Representative building partnerships to improve health care access and increase health promotion and disease prevention for underserved populations (including but not limited to the Latino and homeless populations).

Her focus includes the faith-based organizations, community-based organizations and non-profit organizations. Ms. Alexander works very strongly to link the Area Health Office with Public Health Programs, Public Health Nursing and the communities we serve.

Ms. Alexander graduated with a Bachelors in Nursing from the California State University, Los Angeles (CSULA). Recently, her trainings include Bioterrorism Chronic Disease Self Management, and Strategies to Build Health and Faith-Based Collaborations.
