Our program works to consolidate public, private for-profit and non-profit planning efforts in SPA 3 & 4. We are focused on improving:
- the health of residents
- enhancing the quality of health services
- enhancing the quantity of health services
As we focus on the issues above, we realize we need to generate more support and increase awareness of health promotion and disease prevention and control programs.
We are constantly identifying and securing additional/potential resources – human, material and financial – through public, personal and/or private health programs and services.
Our Strategies include: Community Networking, Community Mobilizing, Resource Development, Strategic Relations Alliances and Partnering, Private Sector Leveraging and Policy Advocacy and Development.
Through the multi-sectoral mobilization of influential sectors of society, the CLP strives to organize and support an expanded response aimed to strengthen, expand and diversify health promotion, wellness and disease prevention programs and services contributing to:
- increase the quality of years of healthy life of LA County residents
- eliminate health disparities
- address the health-financing predicament of Public Health.
Sectors of interest include: Faith–Based Communities, the Business Sector, the Entertainment Industry, the Sports Industry, the Political Sector and the Media.
