Presentations
The 2007 Women’s
Health Policy Summit included presentations from a diverse group
of experts on some of today’s most pressing women’s health
issues. The morning panelists introduced the
Summit's overarching themes detailing the health disparities
existing among women in Los Angeles County. The presentations given during the morning workgroups
focused on the respective workgroup theme. Speakers framed
their workgroup’s issues with the topic’s main themes, current
research, and next steps.
Dr. Vivian Pinn
delivered a dynamic and comprehensive Keynote Address
outlining the tremendous progress
we've made in women’s health and the challenges and
opportunities we continue to face.
The presentations set the tone for
the remainder of the day, assisting the workgroups as they
explored the issues and developed the policy recommendations which were delivered to the
Listening Panel at the end of the day. Documents are
