Voluntary Artificial Trans Fat Reduction Program (ATFR)
The Artificial Trans Fat Reduction Program recognizes food facilities that prepare
and serve food with no trans fat. Participating food facilities will receive
a decal that will notify their consumers they are concerned about health and
are proudly serving food with zero grams of trans fat.

School Standards – SB 12 & SB 965
SB 12 – School Nutrition Standards went into effect July 1, 2007
which limits fat, sugar and portion sizes on all foods sold a la
carte, in vending machines, in school stores and at fundraising events.
SB 965 – Healthy Beverage Bill eliminates the sale of soda and
other sweetened beverages on high school campuses in California.
Half of the beverages sold on campus must meet these standards by
July 1, 2007 and all beverages sold must meet these standards by July 1, 2009.

Los Angeles County Food Policy
Smart Snackers is the Los Angeles County Food Policy campaign that works to
provide healthier snack options in County vending machines, meetings and events.
It does not eliminate other snack options however, it provides additional choices
to encourage selecting healthier snacks. Educational materials are provided to
encourage employees to make healthier choices.
