Course Description:
This is a one-hour, non-credited,
comprehensive lead education program. Training is provide on clinic site
during an agreed general meeting time.
Course Objectives:
Following this training the participant will be to:
- Identify
targeted screening regulations on standards of care on screening for Lead
poisoning.
- State
major behavior risk factors associated with Lead poisoning
- List
primary sources of Lead poisoning.
- List
global cultural products that contain Lead.
- Differentiate
the responsibilities
of the doctors, nurse practitioners and physician's assistants doing
periodic health care assessments on children between the ages of 6 months
and 6 years.
- Differentiate
the role of the PHN and EHS in Lead case management.
- Assess
HCP blood lead level collection procedure.
- Overview
other HCP education programs available.

Nurses, CMA, and Office Managers.
