5. The more love you give the more love you will receive

“My partner and I were at a company picnic and my colleague commented how happy we seem. I had expressed to her that it was not always this way. In the beginning I thought we would kill each other. It was so bad we separated but then realized that we enjoy being together more than being apart. So even if we got into a disagreement, would both realize how much we enjoy love being with each other that it made things easier to discuss”.

A couple must be grateful for their relationship and for each other. If we focus on the negative that is what you will receive, but if you focus on the positive, you will have a happier relationship. The more we show appreciation for our partner, the more love and respect we will receive in return. Love is what you want it to be. By expressing our love and appreciating the other person gives them value and will intensify their love for you as well. The more you give the more you will receive (M.J. Ryan, Attitudes of Gratitude in Love (2002).
