The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), in partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the American Academy of Family Physicians, has recently published updated immunization guidelines.
It is now recommended that all children 6 months through 18 years of age be vaccinated against the flu every year.
LACIP is promoting flu awareness this season by offering a suite of customizable materials for school administrators. These are designed to encourage parents to vaccinate their children. The Flu Toolkit for Schools includes:
