The Research and Analysis team conducts special projects that aid strategic
planning to guide DPH and the County’s preparedness and response activities.
This team assists in the development of evidence based operational plans
through review of the current scientific literature, conducting needs assessments
and population surveys, as well as performing epidemiologic, geographic
information systems, supply/demand, and evaluation studies. It also identifies
operational, legal, and policy challenges and develops recommendations to
improve the DPH's ability to respond to public health emergencies.
