Onsite Wastewater Treatment System (OWTS)

Important Info: A Professional Guide to Requirements and Procedures for OWTS Service Fees

The Los Angeles County Code defines parameters for the effective percolation of wastewater effluent through the soil.  Properties that conform to the established parameters may be approved for installation of an Onsite Wastewater Treatment System (OWTS).  The Land Use Program staff review submitted work plans, review historical records, perform site inspections, and coordinate with other County and/or City Departments.
