Vision Statement:
A future where community-guided public health efforts in California prevent new HIV infections,
dismantle inequities, and ensure that all people — especially those from historically underserved
populations — are met with dignity, respect, and comprehensive care throughout the HIV prevention
				and response system.

				Mission Statement:
The CDR CAB serves as a bridge between public health professionals, community-based organizations,
advocates, and populations most impacted by HIV. The purpose of the CAB is to provide culturally
responsive input and feedback to support ethical, transparent, and culturally competent HIV cluster
detection programs and policies. By centering lived experiences and local perspectives, the CAB prioritizes
the needs of those most impacted by HIV.
