Rush or Emergency service request $40.00

A non-refundable service fee will be applied to each rush or emergency request.  This service fee will be added to the cost of certified copies of the birth certificate and will be collected at the time service is provided.

This service is available for newborns only. Rush birth certificates may be obtained from our office for newborns when the hospital of birth has expedited the document. Please make this request through the hospital’s birth clerk before contacting our office.

What is "RUSH"?

If the birth has not been registered and a certified copy of the birth certificate is needed immediately, it will be considered a rush.

Birth certificates are available 10 days from the date of registration

Certified copies of Birth Certificates  for infants born in the current year or previous year may be purchased from the Vital Records Office . All other certified copies may be purchased from the  Los Angeles Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk's Office .
