Scabies Toolkit: Healthcare Settings

The toolkit was developed by the LAC DPH Scabies Task Force in response to the increased number of scabies outbreaks that occurred within acute and long-term care facilities in Los Angeles County. The information provided is based on the Scabies Prevention and Control Guidelines Acute and Long-Term Care Facilities which was updated July 2019.

The toolkit contains the following materials to assist health care facilities in managing scabies outbreaks and educating health care workers on identification, transmission, signs and symptoms, and treatment of scabies.
